Target...the red dot boutique is overpriced!

I have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of target! But the other day after some shopping and price comparisons, I realized that they are a lil overpriced. Case and point, I purchased a charger plate to put some decorations onto for christmas. Once I got home and was peeling price tags off of things, I see that they had marked up the plate I had purchased. Not down but up. Frome $3.99 to like $4.79 or something. An outrage! They have some different things but you can count on me to keep my butt at wal-mart from now on!

Amen

I totally agree! They are taking advantage of us Alaskans, because they know we are starved for new chain stores.

The price of living in Alaska

I too have noticed that Target has marked up things and found tags with tages over them. I work in a retail store as the purchasing manager and the price of freight to get things to Alaska is ridiculous. We will always pay a higher price than the Lower 48 because even when it takes 1 week on a boat to get here, that charge has to be paid for somewhere. Wal-Mart does it to, they are just a little better at hiding their labels.
